The YCB stainless steel arc gear pump is designed with a double-arc and sine-curve composite gear tooth profile. Compared with conventional involute gear pumps, this gear design provides continuous point contact between the two meshing tooth profiles, helping reduce trapped-liquid problems during operation.
Because the meshing gear surfaces have minimal relative sliding during operation, the pump helps reduce gear surface wear, vibration, noise, and bearing load. This supports smooth operation, long service life, and good efficiency in suitable transfer systems.
The pump is equipped with a protective valve for overload protection. The full return pressure of the safety valve is 1.5 times the rated discharge pressure of the pump. It can also be adjusted within the allowable discharge pressure range according to actual operating requirements. However, this safety valve should not be used as a long-term pressure reducing valve. If pressure reduction is required, a separate pressure reducing valve should be installed in the pipeline.
The YCB stainless steel arc gear pump is mainly used for transferring lubricating oil in lubrication systems of mechanical equipment. It is suitable for lubricating oils with viscosity from 5 to 1500 cSt and temperature below 200°C. According to the source material, the pump can also transfer non-lubricating oils, beverages, and corrosive liquids under suitable material compatibility and operating conditions. When equipped with copper gears, it may be used for low-flash-point liquids such as gasoline and benzene.
The shaft-end seal is available in two forms: mechanical seal and packing seal. The final sealing structure can be selected according to the actual operating condition and user requirements.
Working Principle
The YCB stainless steel arc gear pump contains a pair of rotating gears inside the pump body: one driving gear and one driven gear. Through the meshing action of the two gears, the working chamber inside the pump is divided into a suction chamber and a discharge chamber.
When the driving gear rotates the driven gear, a partial vacuum is formed on the suction side as the gear teeth separate from the meshing position, drawing liquid into the pump. The liquid fills the spaces between the gear teeth and is carried to the discharge side. As the gears mesh again, the liquid is squeezed out, creating pressurized flow that exits through the pump discharge port.
Features & Advantages
- Double-Arc Gear Design: Uses a double-arc and sine-curve composite tooth profile for smooth meshing.
