The stainless steel Roots pump is developed based on the LC type pump for transferring asphalt, condensate oil, and other media that require heat preservation. An insulation layer can be added to the outside of the pump casing or end cover. Steam or thermal oil circulation can be used to keep the pump working chamber warm, providing suitable conditions for both continuous and intermittent operation.
This pump features low-speed operation, good efficiency, compact size, large flow, low power consumption, strong self-priming capability, and convenient use. It can transfer petroleum and petroleum products. When equipped with copper pump rotors, it may be used for gasoline under suitable operating conditions.
The stainless steel Roots pump can also be used in factories for transferring various oils and liquids, including crude oil, paint, lubricating oil, glass adhesive, grease acid, toothpaste, and mildly alkaline liquids used in soap processing. In food processing applications, it can transfer suitable liquids such as bean paste, yeast, syrup, and similar media, depending on material compatibility and operating requirements.
The pump is also suitable for loading and unloading oil tank trucks and tankers. It provides efficient transfer and convenient operation, and it can work in both forward and reverse rotation directions.

Installation Notes
The suction and discharge pipe diameters should not be smaller than the pump inlet and outlet diameters. The suction pipeline should be as short as possible, and unnecessary losses such as excessive elbows should be reduced. The installation height should ensure that the pump does not exceed the allowable suction vacuum height during operation.
Pipelines should be supported by pipe racks, and the pump should not bear pipeline loads. Before installation, the suction and discharge pipelines should be cleaned thoroughly. Welding slag and other debris in the suction pipeline must be removed to prevent pump damage.
A filter should be installed in the suction pipeline. Vacuum and pressure gauges should be installed at the inlet and outlet to monitor pump operation. If two or more pumps are installed in parallel on the same pipeline, a check valve should be installed at the pump outlet to support normal operation.
The pump should be installed in a spacious location that allows convenient inspection and maintenance. Place the unit on a foundation with embedded anchor bolts, align the unit, and then tighten the anchor bolts.
After connecting the pipeline and confirming the motor rotation direction, connect the coupling. The allowable coaxiality tolerance of the coupling outside diameter is 0.1 mm, and the allowable end-face clearance between the two couplings is 2 mm.
After the unit has operated for 3–4 hours, perform a final inspection. If no abnormal conditions are found, the installation can be considered acceptable.
