The RCB insulated gear pump is suitable for transferring non-corrosive media that contain no solid particles and may solidify at normal temperature. The pump can transfer media with temperature up to 280°C and viscosity from 5 to 1500 cSt. Typical media include heavy oil, asphalt, adhesive materials, resin, detergent, and similar liquids. If the medium viscosity is high, belt pulley drive or reducer drive is recommended to support stable operation. When the medium contains solid particles, special material requirements should be stated in advance for customized pump selection.

Structure & Working Features

The RCB insulated gear pump has hollow jackets on the pump body, front cover, and rear cover, with inlet and outlet flanges for heat-transfer media. Thermal oil, steam, hot water, or cold water can be circulated through the jacket to heat, insulate, or cool the pump and the transferred liquid.

This jacketed structure helps maintain a suitable medium temperature during transfer. For media that solidify at normal temperature, heating and insulation help improve flowability. For high-temperature liquids, cold water can be circulated through the jacket for cooling when required by the process.

Under normal conditions, the pump and motor are directly coupled. When the transferred medium viscosity is greater than 1500 cSt, a reducer should be used.

The shaft-end seal is available in two forms: mechanical seal and packing seal. Users can select the suitable seal structure according to the actual operating conditions.
