The NCB series high-viscosity rotor pump uses an internal meshing principle. The pitch circles of the inner and outer gears are close to each other on one side, while the other side is separated by a crescent plate. The gears rotate in the same direction, helping avoid trapped liquid during operation.
The pump features a compact structure, small size, large flow capacity, low noise, and long service life under suitable operating conditions. It is suitable for transferring a wide range of media, from light and volatile liquids to heavy, viscous liquids and semi-solid media.
The NCB series is widely used in petroleum, chemical, grease, coating, asphalt, food, and light industry applications. It is suitable for high-viscosity media and can be used for media containing particles when properly selected for the operating conditions.
Structure & Working Features
The NCB series high-viscosity rotor pump is a positive displacement pump. It transfers fluid through the periodic volume change of fixed displacement chambers inside the working cavity.
The pump is designed for low-speed operation, smooth running, self-priming performance, and convenient operation. The rotor clearance helps prevent direct contact between the rotating parts, reducing friction and wear. For applications requiring heat preservation, an insulation jacket can be installed inside the pump structure, with an applicable temperature range from 0°C to 250°C as stated in the source.
Features & Advantages
- High-Viscosity Media Transfer: Suitable for high-viscosity and high-concentration materials.
- Stable Positive Displacement Flow: Designed for continuous and steady transfer without stagnation under suitable conditions.
- Low Wear Structure: Clearance is maintained between the two rotating elements to reduce friction and wear.
- Low Noise Operation: Low-speed design supports quieter and smoother operation.
- Energy-Saving Design: Low-speed operation and high output torque help reduce power consumption in suitable applications.
- Seal Protection Option: Water-flushed mechanical seal structure can be supplied to help reduce material buildup on seal faces when transferring high-viscosity media.
- Sanitary Material Option: Wetted parts can be made of stainless steel for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other hygiene-related applications.
