The 3QGB three-screw insulated pump is made of cast steel and is available in insulated and non-insulated structures. For high-viscosity media, the insulated screw pump structure is recommended to help maintain suitable media flow conditions.

The standard inlet and outlet direction is right inlet and left outlet as supplied under normal conditions. If required, the pump can also be manufactured with left inlet and right outlet according to user requirements.

Working Principle & Structure

The 3QGB three-screw insulated pump works through the sealed chambers formed between the pump body and the screws. When the driving screw rotates, it drives the meshing driven screws to rotate together. At the suction end, the meshing space volume gradually increases and the pressure decreases, allowing liquid to enter the chamber under differential pressure.

As the chamber reaches its maximum volume and forms a sealed cavity, the liquid is continuously moved along the screw axis toward the discharge end. At the discharge end, the meshing space gradually decreases, forcing the liquid out of the pump.

The working principle is similar to a gear pump, but the pump uses screws instead of gears. The pump has very small flow and pressure pulsation, low noise and vibration, and self-priming capability. Three-screw pumps are equipped with a valve to help prevent damage to the pump or prime mover when discharge pressure exceeds the allowable value due to conditions such as discharge pipeline blockage.
