3G Series Marine Three-Screw Pump

3G Series Marine Three-Screw Pump

3G Series Marine Three-Screw Pump

Short Description

The 3G series marine three-screw pump is a rotary positive displacement pump for clean lubricating liquids. Key features include:

  • Marine & Industrial Service: Available in general, marine, and related 3G series configurations.
  • Smooth Continuous Flow: Delivers liquid axially with low pulsation and stable pressure.
  • Suitable Media: Designed for fuel oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, crude oil, asphalt, and similar lubricating liquids.
  • Wide Viscosity Range: Suitable for liquids with viscosity generally from 3.0 to 760 mm²/s.
  • Reliable Structure: Simple construction, low vibration, low noise, and convenient disassembly.

The 3G series marine three-screw pump is designed and manufactured according to GB10887-89. It is a rotary positive displacement pump that uses the meshing principle of screw rotors to deliver liquid continuously and smoothly along the axial direction.

During operation, the driving screw and driven screws mesh with each other inside the pump sleeve. The conveyed medium is enclosed in sealed chambers formed between the screws and the inner surface of the liner, then pushed continuously toward the discharge port. This working principle allows the pump to provide stable pressure and smooth liquid transfer for the system.

The 3G series marine screw pump is suitable for conveying clean lubricating liquids without solid particles. Typical media include fuel oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, crude oil, asphalt, and similar oil-based or lubricating liquids. The general viscosity range is 3.0–760 mm²/s. Higher-viscosity media may be conveyed after heating to reduce viscosity. The operating temperature is generally not higher than 350°C.

The 3G series includes general-purpose 3G models, 3GC marine models, and related configurations such as 3GR, 3Gr, 3GN, and 3GW. The pump is commonly equipped with a mechanical seal and is driven by an electric motor through a claw-type coupling. Viewed from the shaft extension end, the pump rotates clockwise.

Features & Advantages

  • Continuous Linear Delivery: Provides smooth axial liquid transfer with no agitation and low pulsation.
  • Low Vibration & Noise: The screw meshing design supports quiet and stable operation.
  • High Pressure Capability: Suitable for systems requiring stable pressure and continuous flow.
  • Simple Structure: Compact design with convenient assembly and disassembly.
  • Lightweight & Compact: Smaller size and lower weight compared with many equivalent transfer systems.
  • Low Wear: Suitable for clean lubricating liquids that help reduce internal wear during operation.

Typical Applications

The 3G series marine three-screw pump is widely used in petroleum, chemical fiber, metallurgy, machinery, electric power, machine tools, shipbuilding, glass, road construction, and other industries.

Typical system uses include:

  • Lubrication pump in industrial equipment
  • Hydraulic pump in hydraulic systems
  • Transfer and booster pump in fuel oil systems
  • Transfer and loading pump in oil transportation systems
