The 2CG Series high-temperature gear oil pump is designed for oil delivery and lubrication service. It is equipped with a valve that helps protect both the pump and the motor from damage caused by overload conditions.
During operation, a pair of gears mesh inside the pump body. As the gears rotate, the pressure in the inlet-side chamber decreases and creates a partial vacuum. Oil enters the low-pressure inlet area under atmospheric pressure, is carried through the gear spaces, and is then discharged from the outlet side under increased pressure. This process delivers oil to the machine components that require lubrication.
The driving gear is connected to the power source, such as an electric motor, through the shaft end. To help prevent oil leakage along the driving gear shaft, the pump uses a sealing assembly consisting of packing, a packing gland, and screws.
Working Principle and Structure
The pump operates by using the continuous meshing and separation of gears to move oil from the inlet to the outlet. As the gear teeth separate, oil is drawn into the pump chamber. As the gears continue rotating, the trapped oil is carried around the pump body and forced out through the discharge port, increasing oil pressure for downstream lubrication use.
Features & Advantages
- High-Temperature Oil Service: Designed as a high-temperature gear oil pump for oil handling applications.
- Integrated Protection Valve: Helps reduce the risk of overload-related damage to the pump and motor.
- Positive Displacement Design: Gear-based operation supports steady oil delivery and pressure generation.
- Leakage Control Structure: Packing, gland, and screw components help seal the drive shaft area.
- Lubrication Support: Delivers oil to machine parts that require continuous lubrication.
- Serviceable Construction: The pump can be disassembled and reassembled for inspection, maintenance, and replacement of worn components.
Typical Applications
The 2CG Series high-temperature gear oil pump is suitable for transferring oil to equipment and machine components that require lubrication. It can be used in oil circulation and lubrication systems where gear pump operation and stable oil delivery are required.
